As an Open Banking API engineer, you will you play a key role in designing and building out the Open Banking API architecture to enable the rapid delivery of innovate digital experiences that meet the long term Open Banking product strategy. You will work closely with key stakeholders including product managers, development and engineering teams to co-create core Open Banking capabilities that will enable Xsquare to deliver world-class products to market.
What we expect of you, day to day.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Open Banking API architecture – create standards, functional requirements and best practices across Xsquare’s Open Banking platform
• Ensure platform capabilities and APIs meet required regulatory specifications – review detailed designs to ensure appropriate security, scalability, reliability and end user experiences
• Design and develop front-end APIs as well as downstream API test tools
• Work simultaneously and closely with development leads providing consultancy on API design to ensure implementation of Xsquare technical standards and relevant business requirements
• Provide appropriate API specs and business requirements for engineering teams to implement new product ideas and features
• Work with product managers to prioritize user research findings and ensure they translate into exceptional user experiences and differentiate Xsuqare’s Open Banking solutions
• Develop documentation for developers to understand how to access and leverage the platform
• Continuously pursue a strong knowledge of internal and external technology solutions, and maintain a strong understanding of applicable technologies, tools and services
• Participate on regional standards bodies to advocate and shape API standards that support Xsquare’s long-term Open Banking strategy. Serve as subject matter expert both internally and externally on relevant governance bodies.

Qualifications (Minimum)
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Senior level experience developing and launching products at a technology company or comparable experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Django, Java , JavaScript and REST Api
- Proficiency in Scala is a Plus.
- Strong experience in delivering modern Front-End technologies such as REACT.js.
